About the Opportunity
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, performs technical skills and provide assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room, primarily in the scrub role during surgical procedures.
May perform similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Work Experience
Two years of experience as a surgical technologist preferred.
Minimum Education
Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program, preferably an accredited program Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification as a surgical technologist (CST or TS-C) required
