The Clinical Manager has responsibility and accountability for the administrative and clinical functions of patient care services during the hours when other management and administrative staff are not present on-site and has direct oversite of the Nurse Supervisor/Case managers and Department assistants. Provides leadership for staff and accountability for assigned operations. In conjunction with the unit leadership, works to improve the quality of patient care, strengthens the financial performance of the department, and improve patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. Serves as a role model and provides clinical expertise to the department. Demonstrates effective skills in communication, advocacy, and promoting a shared vision. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.

Required Experience
Required:
Current California RN license
Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program and completion within 2 years
VIP within 3 months of employment (ED & Nursing Staffing Office only)
Two years clinical experience in an acute care facility
LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)
Preferred:
Clinical certifications preferred for applicable units, ie NRP, PALS, etc.
Previous Management experience preferred
