Job Summary and QualificationsProvides leadership, which facilitates the delivery of air medical and ground transport care for the comfort and well being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, and document care and teaching of patients. Performs time critical advanced life support patient care and management.
What qualifications you will need:
- Required Experience: Minimum FIVE years full time Emergency Room and/or Critical Care.
- Preferred Experience: Five years full time Emergency Room AND Critical Care. Previous supervisory, public speaking and teaching experience.
- Required Educations: Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.
- Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing
- Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
- Required License: Must have a valid NC driver’s license or procure one within 30 days of employment (if out-of-state commuter must have valid driver’s license in the documented state of residence) Must have at least two years of satisfactory driving experience and possess ability to meet the established insurance guidelines for Mission Health System.
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP or ENPC; ITLS or PHTLS or TNCC
- Preferred Certifications: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, CPRN, North Carolina Paramedic, South Carolina Paramedic, Nationally Registry Paramedic, CCEMT-P, PNCCT. NRP.
