Summary
The Clinical Nursing Coordinator demonstrates expertise and knowledge in Neurosurgery and Spine Cases. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and patient for each procedure. Demonstrates knowledge, etiology, and description of detailed procedures and correlating instrumentation involved with Neurosurgery and Spine procedures. Stays current with new techniques and mentors the staff. Assists with staff education. Circulates in cases to assist the surgeon and to mentor new staff to these procedures. Assures that all equipment is available and in working order. Manages the equipment and inventory and is responsible for organizing the cases on a daily basis. Orders supplies as needed to maintain the necessary inventory for each case. Works with management to coordinate cases and staff. Works with and coordinates with Sterile Processing, Materials, and Vendors for all upcoming cases.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- BSN preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart or equivalent)
- CNOR preferred
Minimum Experience
- 3- 5 years OR experience with general and Neurosurgery and Spine surgery preferred
