Job Description:
As a Lead, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a Systems Engineering team in design, development, implementation, testing and training of/for command and control systems for our warfighters. This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a Java product owner role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!
Essential Functions:
Manage technical solutions thru engagement across multiple teams, partners, vendors, and customers at the mission level.
Support programs by implementing SAFe.
Lead the design and development of system/subsystem products with the guidance of senior technical personnel.
Interact with customers and provide input to project managers on the programmatic and technical deliverables.
Recognized as an expert and thought leader with broad experience across multiple job areas. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new systems, concepts, or technologies. Recommends tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall business or functional results
Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the company within area of expertise. Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
Communicates within and outside of the organization which includes larger customers or vendors. Works to influence others to accept team's view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Communicates and influences leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the function or business area. Frequently conducts briefings to senior leaders and customers. Recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in area of expertise with broad experience across multiple job areas.
Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are often complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple functions and/or businesses. Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem.

Establishes tactics for group with short- to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years). Recommends new products, processes, policies, standards, or operating plans in support of job function strategy.
Able to lead design and execution of Acceptance, System Level, Integration, and Unit test phases, with heavy emphasis on test automation to support Behavior Driven Development
Management of geographically dispersed teams.
Role will require consent to Polygraph.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Experience with SAFe or other large scale Agile implementations.
Experience with Java.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Previous Poly clearance
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details
Organized and detail-oriented
Working knowledge of tools like Cucumber/Gherkin, Playwright or Selenium, Graphana, Prometheus, Junit Experience with MBSE tools
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $106,500.00 - $197,500.00 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
