Great work you’ll do here:
The Director of Professional Services (DOPS) is responsible for the provision of appropriate and adequate care to clients in accordance with program requirements, quality standards and company policies and procedures. They will provide supervision and training to caregiver staff and assures compliance with documentation and physician order requirements. The DOPS must be accountable for adherence to company systems and compliance with state and federal regulations. This position will also require you to fill supervisory nursing role obligations and serve as the Branch Director. The DOPS position can assume the role of Administrator as well. If serving as a DOPS only, the role would be primarily clinical oversight; the financial and business development functions would be minimal.
- Direct responsibility for delivery of quality care that meets client specific needs and in compliance with program/payer rules and physician orders
- Responsible for efficient and effective utilization management in accordance with client needs, physician orders and payer requirements
- Facilitates communication and coordination of care between clients, families, caregivers, physicians and other service providers as necessary
- Assures efficient coordination of caregivers through case conferences and scheduling process and appropriate utilization of services
- Assures current and accurate clinical records in compliance with documentation requirements and program specific rules for coverage and qualifying criteria
- Assures clinical records are maintained in their original state and not improperly altered or fabricated
- Plans and assures adherence to budgetary guidelines, exercises appropriate expense control management with administrator
- May oversee Account Executive functions including performance reviews and development plans
- Serves as the local privacy officer of the agency, if the lead person in the agency
- Assures all staff receive appropriate training and follow the policies for protected health information
- Interviews, screens, and hires competent employees to meet the needs of clients and in compliance with applicable employment law
- Oversees the scheduling and competency of staff to assure safe, quality care and service
- Oversees personnel management functions including staffing, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
- Provides a plan for staff retention and development
- Assures appropriate training to meet agency and regulatory requirements
- Completes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company

- Current state RN license, BSN preferred. Business coursework (business, finance, accounting, human resources) preferred
- Three (3) years of nursing experience required to consist of a minimum of: one (1) year of home care experience and two (2) years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
