NRHS is an accreditedprimary stroke center and the Intermediate Care is our dedicated stroke unit for the health system. Our team is award winning (Women's Choice award and American Heart Association/Get with the Guidelines award) and works in collaboration with other departments and our stroke coordinatorto provide this award winning care. IMCnurses are critical thinkers andhighly skilled to rapidly assess a patient's condition and intervene with immediate attention. Common medication drips include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. IMC's charge nurse regularly does not take a full load of patients and is a great resource to not only our staff, but other units' as well.RN essential functions include, but are not limited with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data.establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care.delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions.performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
