Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced 2nd shift CNC Grind CBN Machine Operatorswho wish to advance his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri *OT may be required as needed.
Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- CBN (cubic boron nitrate) plated wheel grinding radial.
- Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
- Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
- Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
- Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes.
- Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
- Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications.
- Perform Deburr operations to within specified tolerances.
- Operate overhead crane when necessary.
- Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
- Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned.
- Demonstrates the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.

Physical Conditions:
- Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds.
- Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
- Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.
- Perform under AS9100 standards.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Duty related experience or/or including milling or lathe experience required - Min 1 yr.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
- Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident
