The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installation, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintaining all electrical systems. Duties include conducting scheduled maintenance, maintaining records, and testing all equipment. This career requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and the ability to install as well as replace electrical components. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Previous industrial electrical experience, including PLC’s, VFD’s, and electrical schematics.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Troubleshoot and repair motors, VFD’s, PLC’s and electrical components on conveyor systems.
- Responsible for assisting with the design, build, and installation of MCC’s, control panels, and electrical components as specified by the engineering team or customers.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and keep maintenance records.
- Observe safety procedures, LOTO, and meet electrical codes.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, switch boxes, receptacles and other electrical components.
- Test equipment such as digital multimeters, current clamps on Ammeters, etc.
- Other job duties as assigned.

- Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions.
- Ability to work with HMI’s, PLC’s, VFD’s, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting.
- Expert knowledge of low voltage systems.
- Understanding of a variety of sensors, programming, and analog signals.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
IV. Education & Experience
-
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
- Industrial Electrician certification or equivalent combination of education and training required.
- At least 5 years of industrial electrician experience required.
- Metals recycling and separation experience preferred but not required.
V. Other Job Demands
Work is generally performed outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow and personal protective equipment is required. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to lift and carry weight up to fifty pounds. Travel requires the ability to drive and the use of a personal vehicle.
