The University of Vermont Medical Center, a level I trauma center, is just 1 hour away.We seek a primary care physician interested in offering non-operative Obstetrics to join the CORE FACULTY with a role thats 60% clinical (including precepting residents) and 40% administrative. Admin time will focus on administration of the residency program and curriculum as it grows and expands. The programs mission includes training physicians to become leaders offering high-quality and high value patient-centered care for all the people in their communities.This program is celebrated by the community. The residency has a wonderful leadership team and excellent faculty members, including 2 academic hospitalists to lead inpatient services. Several highly engaged specialists in multiple medical disciplines teach in the clinic and hospital. The program has 18 residents. The first class graduated in 2019.The primary setting is the Family Medicine Center, in a medical office building in historic downtown Plattsburgh just 5 minutes from the hospital. Equipped with state-of-the-art resources, EPIC EMR and 25 exam rooms, the clinic utilizes a team-based approach to patient care. The team consists of 7 primary care physicians, 18 residents and 3 primary care advanced practitioners. Additional faculty includes an OB/GYN, an Infectious Disease physician and APP, and a Podiatrist. Together, they represent one of the largest Medical Home Collaborative projects in the country, managing some 19,000 patients annually (a typical daily volume of 120 people).
