BreakThrough Physical Therapy, is seeking applications for the full-time position of Athletic Trainer with experience in (Track & Field/ Distance).
The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. The intercollegiate athlete representing ASU will be a bonafide student pursuing a degree program, as well as an amateur competitor. Services Provided: Primary services provided are prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries under the direction of the Appalachian State University Team Physicians. Organizational and Principle Work This person reports to the Director of Olympic Athletic Training Services and the Clinic Director of Breakthrough Therapy Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
- Daily athletic training room operations.
- Event coverage.
- Overseeing practices for assigned sports.
- Supervision of athletic training students.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Olympic Athletic Training Services.
Qualifications:
Education and Qualifications:
- BOC Certification
- Eligible for state licensure by the State of North Carolina Board of Athletic Training (NCBATE)
- Master’s degree required
- Minimum of two years experience in athletic training after certification, preferably in D1 Track and Field/Distance
- Current BLS or equivalent CPR certification
