Longivew/Tyler Area ED Seeks 5 EM Physicians
7a-7p, 7p-7a 12 & 24 hour shifts available
7 Shift per month minimum
3 ED Physicians needed
BC/BE EM, FP/IM
Position Profile:
- 12,000 Annual volume
- 11 beds
- 2 hour drive from Dallas
- 24 hours of physician coverage daily
- Critical Access hospital
- Daily census: 31
- 25 Beds in the hospital
- Hospitalist in house
- 24 hours of lab services
- 20% admission rate
- Older population/higher acuity
- Level III stoke support facility designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services
- Physicians and nurses with advanced trauma life support training, so patients can receive immediate and appropriate care
- Diagnostic services featuring x-ray, ultrasound, CT with iDose radiation reduction and other imaging modalities when needed
- Laboratory services on-site
- Private treatment rooms
- The ability to monitor and stabilize heart attack and stroke patients
- Transfer to Level 1 trauma center, if higher level of care is needed.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS - Specialty Required: EM, IM & FM
- Preferred availability 7 shifts per month, will accept 5
- Qualified candidates must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) or Internal Medicine/ Family Practice (ABIM/ABFM) with Emergency Department experience.
- ACLS/PALS required forEM Board Certifiedclinicians, PLUS previous ATLS
- BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS required if NOT EM Board Certified (EM BE or BC FP/IM)
