MORE ABOUT THE OT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST POSITION:
CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Occupational Therapist opportunity include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
- Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' occupational performance, considering physical, cognitive, emotional, and social factors
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings, resident goals, and physician recommendations
- Provide training and interventions to improve residents' independence in activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting
- Plan and conduct therapeutic activities to enhance residents' physical and cognitive abilities, as well as their social engagement
- Address and manage pain through therapeutic interventions, adaptive strategies, and education
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of occupational therapy services
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE OT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST:
- Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Successful completion of the National Certification Examination
- 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years
- Valid OT license in North Carolina
