The Respiratory Therapist 2 - H is responsible for the overall provision of respiratory care, including the planning developing and implementation of respiratory care programs; direct supervision of respiratory care practitioners; coordination of Inservice programs. The Respiratory Therapist 2 - H work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Respiratory Therapist 2 - H conducts pulmonary function tests; assesses and interprets evaluations and test results; determines respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Current state license to practice respiratory
- Complies and maintains current CPR certification
- This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity and to making accommodation available to provide services to a diverse population
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Strong customer services skills
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
