Responsibilities:
This full-time entry-level logistics/dispatch position supports the Allan Myers fleet and shop. The ideal candidate will have an interest in transportation or logistics, business development, and/or information, process, and technology. You can expect a dynamic, operational environment working with our fleet management and transportation logistics team. Responsibilities:
- Schedules dump trucks and equipment moves in an efficient and effective manner which provides a high level of service to internal customers
- Make suggestions for improvement to management when savings opportunities arise.
- Manage fleet and equipment utilization, maintenance availability, and fuel efficiency.
- Manage compliance associated with fleet and equipment management registrations and licenses.
- Ensure telematics are reporting; report deficiencies to management.
- Ensure asset locations are kept current and up to date.
- Obtain oversize permits as needed to ensure compliance with over-dimensional equipment moves.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to arrange external transportation resources when needed.
- Work hand-in-hand with Allan Myers shop to coordinate and schedule maintenance, availability, repair scheduling, and fleet management.
- Special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, Logistics preferred.
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
- Must have ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with associates and external customers at all levels.
- Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills with follow-up and follow through.
