As the Linux System Administrator…
- Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the daily operations and deployment of our Linux infrastructure for the National Security Space (NSS) Mission Area
- Research and develop new technology that supports the innovation and improvement of our classified information systems and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment
- Provide hardware and software support for integration and execution of projects
- Maintain Information Security and Compliance through Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)
- Assist with the deployment and implementation of security and monitoring tools
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities through weekly security audits
- Collaborate extensively with users, sponsors, and team members
- Support in the maintaining of our security documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices
QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Networks & Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have 3+ years of Information Technology experience to include design, configuration, and deployment of Enterprise Solutions
- Knowledge of virtualization, storage, and networking technologies
- Strong understanding of network and storage technologies as they relate to Enterprise Services
- Experience implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) technical controls through Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems
- Working knowledge of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Assessment, Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) policies
- Have the ability to interact and communicate across all organizational staffing levels and stakeholders including external sponsors to clearly present and convey complex technical information through both oral and written means
- Assist with gathering documentation and information used to capture, structure, and accurately represent stakeholders' requirements
- Current DoD 8570 and 8140 compliance / certification (Security+ CE)
- Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top-Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Networks & Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Have 5+ years of Information Technology experience to include design, configuration, and deployment of Enterprise Solutions
- Support and/or manage IT facilities, systems, network and related infrastructure within a DoD program
- Have experience in configuring and managing Atlassian applications (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket)
- Have experience in configuring and managing open-source database applications (i.e., PostgreSQL and MySQL)
- Have experience in configuring and managing Fortify Application Security Platform Software
- Have worked with Linux configuration and management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef
- Have experience working with Splunk, SLURM, or containerization like Docker
- Hold an active Top Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship
