The Senior Intraoperative Monitoring Tech is responsible for performing and monitoring all modalities of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring for neurosurgical, vascular, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic spine and interventional radiology procedures, including but not limied to: motor cranial nerve recording, spontaneous or evoked electromyography (EMG), spinal screw and direct nerve stimulation, intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP), intraoperative electroencephalography (EEG), intraoperative brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAER), intraoperative transcranial electrical motor evoked potentials (TCeMEP) during neuro-surgery or invasive radiological intervention localization of sensorimotor cortex.
Shift: Full-time, day shift
Education, Experience and Licensure/Certification:
- Knowledge of theories, principals, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in anatomy/physiology, biological sciences, or a closely related field
- A minimum of 1 year IOM exeperience required
- Current neurodiagnostic credial (R.EEG T., R. EPT.)
- Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM licensure)
- BLS certification
- Advanced knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols related to sterile technique and infection control.
