Responsibilities State Farm's staff counsel office in Metairie is seeking an administrative support team member. We are looking for someone who is detailed-oriented, can multi-task, has great customer service skills and can work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. This candidate should have excellent organizational skills, along with accurate typing skills, knowledge familiarity of the legal process and legal and medical terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, reception area duties, answering phones, handling e-faxes and emails, scanning documents, confirming appointments, ordering records, and other administrative duties.
Hours for this position are 8:15 A.M.-4:45 P.M., Monday-Friday.
The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.
Qualifications- Strong customer service skills both in person and over the phone
- Accurate and efficient typing skills
- Experience working in an office setting and a digital/electronic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and familiarity of the legal process, as well as legal and medical terminology is preferred
- Civil Litigation Experience is preferred
