In-Person or Hybrid Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Outpatient Locum Tenens Job in the Greater Los Angeles Area Details/Requirements: Need is for 30-40 hours a week providing onsite services only (no tele health) starting end of September/early October for a 13 week initial contract providing primarily child & adolescent onsite outpatient coverage, but would prefer the locums doctor see some young adults too ages 18-25. Patients ages are 3-25, but if you only see patients ages 3-18 that s fine. The majority of patients are ages 6-18 with just a handful of patients who are younger. Prefers all onsite services but if necessary will consider hybrid coverage, preferably 50/50, but it could be 2-3 days a week in the office and 3-4 days a week virtual. Will use Zoom for tele health services. There will be some telephone only visits but very few; the majority of tele health visits will be done with video and audio using Zoom. Hours: 3pm 7pm, M-F and Saturdays, 9am to 1pm. Although not ideal, if you need to work Sundays it s an option and the hours would be 9am to 1pm but there would only be one clerical person to assist because the clinic isn t open on Sundays. No call. Client allows one hour for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for medication follow ups. Electronic health record, so you must be computer savvy. Credentialing can take up to 90 days, sometimes less. Board Certification is strongly preferred, but will also consider Board Eligible child trained psychiatrists if necessary. Client prefers a 3-month/13 week minimum assignment.
