Position Details - Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

- Ratios: 1:4-5
- Years of Experience Required: Prefer 2 years. Must have experience with 1:4-5 ratios - HARD STOP. EPIC experience is a HARD STOP.
- First-timers Accepted: Yes, if greater than 3 years of experience
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday for both Night and Day shifts)
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
- On-call Requirement: Yes, based on staff/ratio
- Floating Requirement: Yes, within acute care service line, including to 3 South and 4 North Acute Care units, ICU for intermediate care type patients, ER, and Behavioral Health
- Block Schedule: Yes

- RTO Restrictions: Greater than 3 days will require management approval

Unit Information - Patient Diagnoses: 2 South is an inpatient med-surg and intermediate care unit. Diagnoses include COPD, weakness, FTT, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and other general medical surgical cases. Surgical patients include GYN cases, hernia repairs, abdominal cases, orthopedic cases, bariatric cases, etc. Some surgical patients require epidurals.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Telemetry, and Med Surg with 4:1 ratios. 2 South has 24 beds, all private rooms. Some patients are bedded as intermediate care, including bariatric cases, epidural patients, and higher acuity cases. The PCS does not typically take patients but can flex up if needed. Pilot Team Nursing Model (RN, LPN for 6 patients).
- Special Equipment: Mobility equipment such as lifts, sera steady, and slide sheets are used for the safety of patients and staff.
