Position Overview: The Assistant Restaurant Manager at Red Mountain Resort plays a pivotal role in maintaining high service standards and overseeing banquets and catering events. This position is ideal for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a resort atmosphere and is dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This position may open or close the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Restaurant Management:
- Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service in bar, in dining room, coffee counter and restaurant.
- Present on the service floor to observe, train, motivate, and supervise restaurant staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Reviews cleanliness and maintenance of restaurant environment.
- Conducts training and daily stand-up meetings with the team.
- May work with restaurant manager to interview new team members, and coach and counsel for improved performance.
- Banquets and Catering:
- Works with sales team to coordinate and execute banquet and catering events with attention to detail and a focus on exceeding guest expectations, according to banquet event orders.
- Guest Relations:
- Touches tables to interact with guests to ensure their needs and expectations are met, striving to create memorable experiences.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, seeking resolutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Expense and Financial
- Contribute to revenue growth through effective upselling, creation, and promotion of new offerings.
- Works with restaurant manager to ensure appropriate scheduling in line with cover counts and revenue.
- Works with restaurant manager to order uniforms, alcohol, and other operating supplies within budget.
Responsibilities - Proven experience in restaurant and banquet management in a high-end hospitality environment.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences in a resort setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with daily financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- SERV Safe or equivalent food safety certification, Utah Approved
- Tips Certification Utah Approved
- Proficient Computer skills and knowledge with Microsoft Office applications.
