JOB FUNCTION:
Bench technicians will diagnose equipment failures, disassemble equipment, recondition, or replace parts, rebuild, and test their rebuilt equipment that has been sent in by customers. They may also be asked to work on the assembly of new equipment engineered by our engineering department. Technicians will work independently but in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Rebuilding, and testing equipment to ensure the quality of rebuilt equipment prior to shipping to customers
2. Diagnosing customer equipment malfunctions or failures through logical deduction and systematic testing procedures.
3. Reading and interpreting basic technical memos, mechanical diagrams, and electrical diagrams
4. Executing general shop functions: storage, shop, and equipment clean-up
5. Setup and tear down of demonstration equipment
6. Assembly and testing of new equipment
7. Meets daily production goals.
8. Assists sales and applications engineering personnel during product testing or customer demonstrations
9. Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma/GED along with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Technical degree or certification preferred
2. Working experience in technical assembly or service of technical equipment preferred.
3. Ability to understand and work with mechanical and electrical components of equipment, including disassembly, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
4. Critical thinking with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues systematically and make informed decisions to resolve issues efficiently.
5. Proficient using hand and power tools to repair machinery.
6. Sense of urgency and pride in the quality of their required
7. Attention to detail
8. Basic to Intermediate Excel and Word experience
9. Requires valid driver's license and must be insurable.
HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Each technician is provided with a dedicated indoor work bench located in a temperature-controlled environment, alongside other technicians.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
