WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Contracts & Compliance Specialist, you will report to the Vice President of Compliance and work directly with Senior Management, playing a crucial part in ensuring that our contracts and business practices meet all necessary legal and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements, including software usage terms, licensing agreements, and BerkOne's values.
- Proactively and continuously monitor and ensure compliance with company policies, legal obligations, and industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and manage documentation for accuracy and accessibility.
- Conduct legal research to support contract reviews and compliance efforts, and communicate changes in laws/regulations that may affect the company.
- Provide training to staff across the company on contract-related compliance matters.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify and mitigate risks, as well as advise management on potential legal issues that may arise.

- Onsite in our Bethlehem, PA office
- Full-time Position: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of legal requirements in the business services industry, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret contracts to make the best well-informed business decisions. The Contracts & Compliance Specialist will meet challenges with resourcefulness, be conscientious, thorough, and open to learning all the services that BerkOne can offer.
- Masters degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field; and
- Minimum 2 - 4 years of qualifiable experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in contract review, drafting, and negotiation
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and data protection practices
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe/PDF Software, and e-signature programs
