Position Overview:
Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factories to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
- Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
- Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
- Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.
- Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of applicable experience, or 3 years of applicable experience with an applicable Master’s degree.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.

Working Environment:
- This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
