Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for Machine Operators who are looking to elevate his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology. Manufacturing experience preferred but we do offer on-the-job training as well. Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Set-up and operate machines, load/unload parts, and communicate changes and results (in writing and verbally) while adhering to a strict time schedule.
- Inspect and verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Good mechanical aptitude and some "shop math" is required. Ability to add and subtract decimals.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Exceptional time management and or organization skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
- Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions.
- Good and reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must.
Physical Conditions:
- Fast paced and focused individual
- Lift, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds.
- Stand at least 95% of scheduled shift.
- Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous machining experience required.
- Have basic mechanical aptitude.
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident
