As a Talent Development Specialist at Taylor Morrison you will oversee the development, coordination and implementation of training initiatives that further increase organizational effectiveness and employee capabilities.
We trust that as a Talent Development Specialist you will: (responsibilities)
Project manage the learning and talent development programs
Participate in selection process for programs, coordinator the set-up of programs in system, communications, attendee upload, follow ups, kick of calls presentations, mid-point connect prep and presentations, capstone determinations and graduations set up.
Provide administrative support to the people services team, including preparing materials, managing calendars and handling correspondence.
Assist in the coordination of all the accounting admin for the team
Build relationships and negotiate with vendors for events
Formulate L&D communications for programs and initiatives including special projects and various ad hoc communications formulation.
Assist with the research, development, design and implementation of critical initiatives and projects related to all facets of talent development.
Gather, track and record costs of events for budget purposes - national events and L&D events. Provide required information in a timely manner to ensure appropriate reservation of venues, room blocks, room requirements, etc.
Coordinate and oversee to ensure all assessments, surveys, and other training mechanisms (for example 360s, coaching, questionnaires, etc) are sent, completed and collected timely, to include tracking of data, participation and follow-up as needed.
Collaborate with the team to produce and facilitate Curriculum and Training materials related to all programs facilitated by the Learning and Development department.
Develop, design and facilitate sessions related to the national program
Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with team members, focus groups, or consultation with leaders and PS team members.
Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, attending conferences, and networking with other L&D professionals. In conjunction with L&D leadership, monitor training costs and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.
Conduct ROI and/or analysis of development solutions and OD programs, make recommendations for modification and monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives
Travel up to 20% of the time

About you: (requirements)
3 years of progressive experience with on learning and development
2+ years of leadership and project management experience desired
Knowledge of adult learning techniques, presentation, facilitation and consultation skills
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Strong HR and business acumen with demonstrated success in the design and delivery of training development programs
Subject matter expertise with employee PI assessment tools. Certifications in these types of tools are desired
Adept at providing solutions to enhance individual or team training initiatives
Excellent coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to quickly establish and build effective relationships
Strong organizational and project management skills to meet multiple priorities and deadlines
Has the ability to adapt to new environments quickly as well as the flexibility to change direction when needed
Demonstrated analytical capabilities to determine the ROI of development solutions
