A mental health organization in Western New York is currently seeking a licensedForensic Inpatient Psychiatrist to join their growing team in Rochester.
Responsibilities:TheForensic Inpatient Psychiatrist will be responsible for:
- Providing lethality assessments, suicide precautions and forensic evaluations when needed
- Ordering laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providers
- Performing first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examination on new admissions in the event that a Physician is not on site
- Providingrestraint and seclusion
- Providingpsychiatric services via Video Teleconference
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- License to practice medicine in New York State
- Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
- Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA Number)
- Enrolled in CMS and remain an unconditional participating provider in the Medicare and Medicaid OPRA programs
