As part of the Information Security Office team, you are passionate about security and risk management. You see security as an enabler and differentiator to enable the business through innovation, not a step in the compliance process. You work with line of business-aligned teams in an organizational management and governance role, enabling the teams to effectively and consistently deliver cyber expertise to their customers. You understand the needs of the unique teams and ensure that they have the tools and structure needed to operate without roadblocks, support their customers, and meet regulatory reporting requirements. You collaborate and liaise on behalf of the Information Security Office with the Cyber Department to allow the Department and Capital One to innovate and push the envelope.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Divisional Information Security Office teams to ensure they have the tools necessary to support their customers
Participate in functional communities of practice to ensure consistency across Information Security Office teams
Develop and manage organization’s knowledge management tools
Improve and document critical business processes
Be a champion for the adoption of Agile principles
Be knowledgeable about Capital One’s Information Security offerings, policies, procedures and standards
Provide support on agenda and materials development and execution of Information Security Office and Department meetings and events
Day to day oversight of multiple processes and Information Security Office groups: monitor, report, and plan process improvement or redesign initiatives; identify process improvement opportunities and implement them through collaboration with other groups; make final recommendations for approval on changes.
Collect, analyze and measure process data, to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures and for reporting to senior leadership; review data for trends and gaps in the process that may require additional review.
Maintain formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams).
Provide customer service and training to internal customers on specific processes they manage; may deliver presentations, including up to the executive level.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of Project Management experience
At least 3 years of experience managing, consulting, auditing, or working in the fields of information security, technology, or risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of Project Management experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
Work experience achieving results with complex projects
