Assumes a variety of clinical and distributive functions. The pharmacist will be responsible as a proactive health care team member, striving to identify, resolve and/or prevent potential and/or actual drug related problems.
Minimum Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Minimum Work Experience
- Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital preferred.
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy residency preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excel in Microsoft office suites such as Word and Excel.
- Recognizes and reports practice deviations to improve the medication system.
- Communication with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff and other health professionals (within the hospital and community) will be significant.
