Retail risk advisors work through unstructured problems and manage change while demonstrating superior problem-solving skills and strong judgment. Additionally, Risk advisors conduct risk assessments using various assessment tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities
As a Manager-level risk advisor, you will:
Advise and consult with risk and business teams to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with product owners, process managers, compliance advisors, legal counsel, auditors, and other risk associates
Manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines, independently and with team collaboration
Oversee risk event remediation impacting customers stemming from process breakdowns or other problems, helping develop permanent corrective actions
Work across the division to execute the first line risk assessments, and assist with establishing risk mitigation plans
Deliver on our well-managed agenda by facilitating various risk assessments, and consulting on effective challenge
Review, analyze, assess risk, document effective controls to cover gaps enhancing the control suite effectiveness (CSE)
Other risk efforts, including but not limited to: Audit/Exams support, Control Testing, Executive Reporting, RMAP coverage, PSP management and renewal/certification, hosting Office Hours with Legal and Compliance, and support the Business on everyday Risk Management areas

Basic Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of experience in retail or direct banking process management, risk management, product management, or operations
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of experience in risk management, financial services, technology, or product management
Professional certifications (such as Business Process Management certification, Lean or Green Belt Certification CFE, CRM, CIA)
This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdayare in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
