TEMP / PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Skilled Nursing
Position Opening: Day, Evening, or Night Shift, PRN hours only
**Minimum of two weekend shifts per month**

Pay: $33.05 - $35.60/hour, +$1.25/weekends, +$1 for night shift, +$3/ for evening shift

Requirements License Practical Nurse (LPN):
Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in PA
Current CPR certification.
Demonstrates critical problem-solving and appropriate independent decision-making abilities.
Interacts and works well with older adults
Supports the mission, philosophy, policies, changes and values of Fairmount Homes.
Maintains safety and infection control standards, following the rules and regulations of the state and federal regulatory agencies.'
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a License Practical Nurse (LPN):
1. Accounts for narcotics for the assigned floor.
2. Receives report from previous shift’s charge nurse for assigned floor and gives same to subsequent shift’s charge nurse.
3. Notifies nursing assistants of any unusual or additional care needed for residents assigned to them.
4. Administers medications and completes treatments per physician’s orders following the Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manual.
5. Makes rounds, checking all residents.
6. Completes nursing documentation on resident’s records (i.e. nurses' notes, flow sheets, monthly summaries, etc.).
7. Provides for performance evaluations of all healthcare employees assigned to the nursing unit on his/her shift.
8. Assigns additional duties to nursing assistants (i.e. weekly supply orders and PRN, cleaning chores, etc.).
9. Assists supervisor with resident assessments, admissions, discharges, transfers and deaths.
10. Receives written, faxed and verbal orders per facility policy.
11. Maintains safety and infection control standards following the regulations of the State and Federal regulatory agencies.
12. Initiates Incident and Accident reports per policy.
13. Keeps RN Supervisor informed of status of residents including all incidents and accidents.
14. Supervises nursing assistants and requires accountability to comply with the facilities policies and procedures.
15. Responsible for attending mandatory meetings.
16. Adheres to Corporate Compliance Plan.
17. Complies with HIPAA Privacy standards.
18. Completes additional tasks as required to ensure that the highest quality care is maintained.
Compensation details: 33.05-39.85 Hourly Wage
