APD sees more than 90,000 patients a year. Their Emergency Department provides diagnostic and treatment services for patients presenting with a wide range of injuries and illnesses. With a goal to have all patients who come to the ED seen within 30 minutes of their triage, APD's staff of physicians and nurses provides fast, accessible, professional, and compassionate care for the residents of the Upper Valley.
Provides direct nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room with acute/primary care and emergent medical needs using the nursing process; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care needs
• Must be able to recognize and establish priorities
• Must be able to set objectives and goals for work assignments and patient care delivery
• Maintains competency in using medical equipment
• Complies with hospital, nursing department, and unit policies and procedure
