Description:
The shipping/receiving clerk must document, process, and keep a detailed record of all incoming and outgoing materials.
Monitor inventory levels, identify stock overages and shortages, and respond appropriately. Organize materials and tooling so high-usage items are most accessible. Operate in a support role to the office, shop, and field, and conduct operations professionally and safely.
Requirements:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SHIPPING/RECEIVING
- Identify items that are low in stock, working with purchasing to determine quantities required
- Identify and work with Management on issues with part numbering
- Work with purchasing to return over-purchased material or defective materials to vendors
- Organization of all material and inventory
- Check-In Returned Inventory from Job Sites
- Communicate discrepancies in quantities received with Vendors and Purchasing
- Process Received Shipment Information against BOLs, Invoices, Purchase orders, and other records
- Properly Inspect/Recognize and Handle all Damages/Shortages/Overages in Shipments received
- Properly package & Ship goods
- Pull and Prepare Part Requests
- Verify and Update Part Requests Forms
- Notify Shop Locations and Job Sites of outgoing shipments and Back Orders
- Prepare & Package Returns
- Schedule Freight & Deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
OTHER EXPECTATIONS
- Pick up/Delivery parts when needed
- Take Shipments to FedEx/UPS per Business needs
