Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. You will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, assist with audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting.
Essential Functions (Primary Duties):
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Prepares and records asses, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
Produces payroll by initiating computer processing, printing checks, verifying finished product.
Assists with accounts payable and receivable.
Prepares financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.
Maintains account balances and bank statements.
Assists with audits and taxes.
Completes month-end and year-end close processes.
Supervise accounting clerk.
Role Qualifications:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Possess strong and thorough knowledge of, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting software.

Education/Relevant Work Experience:
3-5+ years of demonstrated experience as an operational accountant.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards and state/national regulations.
