RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obstetrics and G ynecology Registered Nurses ( OB/GYN RN) work alongside OB/GYN physicians to provide prenatal, postpartum, and reproductive healthcare to female patients from puberty, during and after pregnancy, through menopause, and beyond. OB/GYN RN j ob responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct and evaluat e fetal monitoring to determine the well-being of fetus es
- Provid e discharge education to mothers and their families , a nswering questions related to medication, birth control , and vitamins
- OB/GYN RN administers injections and medications as instructed by the physician
