American Auto Shield, the exclusive policy administrator for CarShield, is seeking new talent to join its Mechanical Claims Adjustment team in its growing St. Peters office. Founded in 2002, and headquartered in Lakewood, CO, American Auto Shield is an industry leader in Vehicle Service Contract development and claims administration. Successful candidates will have strong competencies in the areas of communication, customer service, and at least two years automotive mechanical experience.
Position Overview
Responsible for adjudicating claims while adhering to various written contracts and internal standard operating procedures.
Compensation for Automotive Technician / Mechanical Claims Adjuster 1:
On-site in St. Peters, MO or Lakewood, CO: $30-33/hour
Responsibilities for Automotive Technician / Mechanical Claims Adjuster 1:
Provide excellent customer service.
Adjudicate and document claims according to coverage terms and standard operating procedures.
Provide accurate and timely information to all external and internal customers concerning claim status and other claim inquires.
Recommend further action on claims exceeding authority limits.
Other duties as assigned.

Able to read and interpret vehicle service contracts after completing company provided new hire training.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet navigation.
Required Education/Certifications for Automotive Technician / Mechanical Claims Adjuster 1:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Automotive mechanical experience and/or training required.
