UPMC in Central PA is seeking a full-time Neurosurgical APP to join our growing Neurosurgery and Neuro-Interventional program. Our Advanced Practice Providers play an integral role in helping to provide high quality, compassionate care to patients in our community.
Practice Details:
- Advancing Neurosurgical Program; cranial, spine, endovascular, and peripheral nerve offerings.
- Collegial team of neurosurgeons, existing APP's as well opportunities to continue to add providers.
- Multidisciplinary integration of clinical programs including neurology, neurocritical care, pain management and ortho-spine.
- Ability to work in all clinical settings including outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding/consult service, neuro-interventional, and surgical assisting.
- Monday - Friday schedule with minimal call responsibilities, including overnight and weekend rotations, shared equally.
- Willingness to travel to hospital locations including Dauphin and Cumberland counties. In addition, various satellite office locations in surrounding counties.
- Active participation in establishing, monitoring, and evaluating quality of care.
- Achievement of positive patient outcomes.
- Mentorship provided to the individual as well as continuous efforts with the team.
- Educational opportunities offered within the department and beyond.
- Epic EMR system-wide
Professional Skills
- Accepting experienced practitioners as well as new graduates.
- Preferred: prior experience with evaluation and treatment of patients with neurological disorders
- Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Advanced Practice Provider program and be board certified by the appropriate entity.
- Current registration with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs
- ACLS certification required.
- ENLS education is required within the first year of employment.
