Operator 2 - Style Rite
Job Summary:
Under general supervision sets up, adjusts, and operates various equipment associated with our Style Rite and Hot-stamping areas and packs the product for shipment or storage.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating the Kluge, C&P, D-Cam, Acromark, Shuttle Stitcher, Kensols and Didde including set-up, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Under limited supervision match mounts, plates, and dies with orders.
- Operate the machine to produce high quality hot stamped, die cut, and embossed materials as instructed.
- Assemble and packs the product into cartons to be shipped to customers in a timely manner.
- Efficiently run all additional machines within the department.
- Follow manufacturing order to produce quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Follow all quality, lean, safety and rate expectations.
- May work and train temporary associates and give direction to the temporary associates during the heavy calendar production months.
- Operator will be cross trained in various departments throughout the facility as needed.
- Reach, bend, twist, grasp, stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive motion tasks correctly.
- Lift up to 40 pounds frequently; team lift at higher weights.
- Excellent record of ability to work safely.
- Must be available to work rotating shifts as scheduled including weekend and overtime as required.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Job Skills:
- Reading, writing, and math skills at the high school graduate or GED level.
- 1-year production experience in manufacturing setting.
- Detail oriented.
- Basic computer skills.
