POSITION REQUIREMENTSFormal Education / Training:

Experience in health care setting preferred
Knowledge and ability to use electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Physical Environment:
Responsible for assisting physicians and team with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks
Rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs, obtain medical history
Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Order appropriate x-rays delegated by nursing staff or physician
Order Physical Therapy, MRI, CT scan- delegated by nursing staff or physician
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and fully stocked
Physical Effort:
Must be able to sit, stand, communicate, in English, both orally and in writing and lift over 20 pounds.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS - Accurately records patient's medical history and vital signs
- Coordinates referrals to other medical services
- Secures consultations and specialists
- Assists physician with med/surg procedures
- Observes universal precautions
- Observes proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Keep patient's rooms clean, orderly, and fully stocked
- Aid with movement and placement of patients
