About the role:- Training and coaching. Onboard new team members when they join team and coach our current team members to assure high patient care standards are met.
- Anesthesia training. Work with our anesthesiologist to build and maintain anesthesia skills.
- Operate as the primary liaison between front of the house staff, clients, doctors, and clinical staff to ensure all client interface and patient care occurs in a timely manner
- Continuously review workload and formulate/implement plans to execute in a productive and efficient manner
- Assign work in accordance with but not limited to the outpatient treatment workflow, in patient turnover workflow and patient release SOPs
- Provide ongoing feedback to/collaboration with departmental leadership on activities and staff performance
Basic Required Qualifications:- High school diploma
- 1+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry as an RVT or 3 consecutive years of Veterinary Assistant experience at SAGE locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
Compensation Range:$26 - $40 hr plus
shift differentialsOur pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position.
