RN Supervisor Nursing Administration
Shift: Full Time Days | 7am-7pm | 3/12’s per week
No Call – Does have weekend and holiday scheduling commitments
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an administrative supervisor in an acute care hospital, nursing certification, preferably CCRN.
Must be a Registered Nurse with BSN or graduate with BSN within 6 months of hire,
ACLS, 2+ years of ICU or ED experience.
Certifications: Expectation of candidate obtaining nursing certification that pertains to the role within 2 years

Job Summary
You'll work closely with management. Plan, steer, coordinate daily tasks in nursing service administration. Create policies and procedures to achieve department priorities.
What You'll Do
- You will manage and oversee daily business and administrative operations with an emphasis on providing patient-centered care.
- Guide and teach your team. Ensure compliance with regulations.
- You are expected to apply Lean methods to enhance practice and patient care.
- You'll help plan the staffing budget, as well as the equipment and expense budget for the year.
- You must update staff on patients, especially those in critical condition. Report staffing and unexpected events.
- You will build good relationships with department staff, patients' families, doctors, and external groups. This helps with communication, problem-solving, and enhancing patient care quality.
- You need to prepare reports, maintain records and files, manage equipment and inventory levels. Also, maintain a database for generating reports when needed.

- Understanding medical terms, promoting health, managing illness and disease, knowing common medications, dosages, effects, and side effects is important.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively expressing thoughts both verbally and in writing
- Interpersonal skills to engage effectively with various constituencies
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Aptitude to guide the work of supervised staff in line with established guidelines, policies and procedures
- Ability to evaluate performance and conduct training of supervised staff
- Ability to observe and communicate patient's medical changes with nursing staff and doctors effectively.
- Essential computer skills include MS Office, email, security, scheduling, payroll systems, and electronic medical records for efficiency in tasks.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- At least (3) three years of relevant experience in the nursing field
- Registered Nurse
- Have Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support accreditation, or the ability to acquire it within the first 30 days of employment
