Job Title: Senior Specialist, Satellite Operator (Active Secret Clearance) Job Code: 12106 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description: L3Harris is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Satellite Systems Operator to join our team and support 24x7 SDA T0 LEOPS satellite operation activities through remote support in Palm Bay, FL. This role will be responsible for executing satellite command and control operations and performing real-time satellite commanding and telemetry analysis supporting the Navy Research Lab (NRL) in Blossom Point, MD. Responsibilities also include training and conducting all activities associated with satellite operation activities and data transfers.
Essential Functions: - Conduct real-time satellite operations that include commanding and telemetry analysis and anomaly actions as required.
- Support satellite constellation mission planning activities.
- Perform satellite telemetry, tracking and commanding activities on satellite constellation.
- Assist with development of training material and training of satellite operators.
- Perform launch and early orbit checkout and 24/7 real-time satellite operations.
- Assist in developing checklists and procedures for satellite and ground system operations.
- Operations support includes attending Daily Operations Stand-up meetings, shift changeover meetings, inputs to monthly in-progress reviews.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Experience as a Satellite Vehicle Operator or Engineer, to include telemetry, tracking and command, spacecraft procedures.
- Active Secret clearance.
