Position Summary
The Customer-dedicated Service Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of RIX products at a specific customer's site. Travel will occasionally be required to both domestic and international locations for periods of time when the dedicated customer requires or has released the technician for other RIX business.

Responsibilities
- To represent RIX Industries and act as a frontline liaison between RIX Industries and our customer.
- To provide quality, on time repair of compressors, gas generators, and associated parts and pieces.
- To overhaul and repair customer's compressors or components as required to meet customer needs at their location and in the field.
- To provide for safety of all employees, and employees in other facilities, through adherence to safety policies and practices.
- Store and maintain RIX Industries special equipment as required.
- To notify supervisor of adequate levels of consumables and tools for completion of assigned work.
- To ensure effective communication within the department and with other company personnel.
- Perform all assignments and other duties in the best interest of the company as directed by the Program Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree from technical school or equivalent combination of education and work experience. One-year experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic in any related field.
- Valid Driver License.
- Ability to read and understand structural drawing, schematics, and operating manuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for customer interface and reporting.
- Must be willing and able to learn all aspects of troubleshooting and repair of RIX Industries models of compressors owned by the designated customer, whether they be mechanical, electrical, or software related.
- Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios, and fractions.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools and diagnostic equipment, such as micrometers, feeler gauges, multimeters, and dewpoint monitors.
- Must have basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Products, and ability to adapt to a variety of software applications.
- Ability to understand the use and application of air and gas compressors and generators and basic repair tooling and equipment.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15. Will require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advance course work in any Mechanical assembly or repair discipline. Specific experience in the manufacturing of air and gas compressors and generators.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position is regularly exposed to the following conditions:
- Manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments
- Working near moving equipment, including overhead cranes and lift trucks; must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures.
- May be exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.
Must have the following physical abilities:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
