Job purpose
The Collections Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all collection specialists while receiving guidance from the Sr. AR Manager. This includes managing time reporting, conducting 1:1 meetings to discuss and resolve problematic accounts, and ensuring work quality and efficiency. This position will also be responsible for creating reports and implementing/documenting procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide guidance to the team of collectors on process, technique, and next steps by conducting regular 1:1 meetings.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the collections team, providing guidance and support.
- Manage employees’ schedules utilizing ADP.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback to team members.
- De-escalate tenant concerns as needed
- Prepare and present regular reports relating to Accounts Receivable to senior management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities.
- Review and enhance collection policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with maintaining proper records of accounts sent to outside agencies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in collections, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of collections processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player who strives to achieve department goals.
- Solid communication skills and positive attitude.
- Quick learner and consistent in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent prioritizing skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook office 365.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
Primarily in an office environment, the noise level is low. Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed is required.
