Job Summary
The project manager's focus is to govern all phases of the project timeline process to allow our OSEs (Outside Sales Engineer) to maintain a minimum of 60% outside focus.
Salary Range: $80K - $90K
Essential Functions
The Project Manager will facilitate project development via: product sizing and selection, quote development, order entry & processing, material tracking, project timeline updates, and clear communication to internal and external involved parties. The above functions are not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as needed.
Sales Responsibilities
- Proactively update outside sales engineers and customers regarding changes in delivery schedules based on information provided by internal and external resources.
- Utilize Salesforce daily to ensure accuracy on all assigned or unassigned opportunities and update as appropriate.
- Identify and effectively communicate within Salesforce on the opportunity line level status within active commercial quotations
- Properly utilize the Chatter function in Salesforce to keep involved CHC parties current on projects
- Review OSE open order pipeline for accuracy.
- Interpret construction bid documents with the OSE to generate equipment selections, budget pricing and formal quotations.
- Show proficiency with factory-provided software / web-based equipment selection tools
- Consolidate information to assist OSE's.
- Develop customer relationships and work with OSEs on potential leads.
- Facilitate information between OSE's and other CHC departments.
- External communication – act as a liaison for OSE via phone, email, video meetings or other as deemed. necessary to facilitate coordination with other parties (contractors, engineers, end users, manufacturing partners)
- Provide customers with our standard application drawings based on their needs.
- Properly escalate and act with a sense of urgency on expedited orders/needs.
- Actively manage manufacturer lead times and communicate impact updates to open and existing projects.
- Order Entry – ensure line-level accuracy against approved submittals. Involve OSE as necessary.
- Ensure our sales and factory purchase order acknowledgments match all submittals, order entries, and customer purchase orders.
- Work with CHC Service Division to schedule start-ups or enter warranty cases through Salesforce.
- Adhere to the general wage procedure.
- Communicate updates at internal job log meetings
- Discuss competitive pricing situations with OSE and follow through with any special net requests to our manufacturer partners.
- EVPACO parts inquiry research and quote preparation.
- Order entry for AZ sales orders.
- Warehouse responsibilities TBD as we build out inventory, will call, etc.
- Report customer and business trends to Division Sales Manager.
- Travel as necessary for sales meetings, factory trainings, job site visits
- Other duties as assigned by CHC Management
- Communicate clearly and concisely both verbal and written with customers and staff.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with CHC staff.
- Stay up-to-date with the Department's Manual policies and procedures.

Required and Education Experience
- 5 or more years of industry experience and a HVAC or Plumbing related AA degree or higher; 4-year degree preferred
- A valid driver's license is required to operate a motor vehicle and you must maintain a driving record acceptable to our liability carrier.
- Plumbing &/or HVAC background.
- Experience with Salesforce or a CRM tool
Preferred and Education Experience
- Technical sales experience.
- Contractor industry experience.
