Job Summary
The Vice President, Franchise Training, is responsible for the design, planning and execution of all SERVPRO franchise training programs, including all live and virtual training events, new franchisee training, annual convention workshops, and the learning and management system (LMS) platform SERVPRO University. The Vice President, Franchise Training, is part of the operations leadership team reporting to the Chief Franchise Operations Officer.
You will
- Assess and adapt existing SERVPRO training programs on a consistent, ongoing basis in order ensure SERVPRO is continually evolving franchise training to meet the needs of the business.
- Participate in all training sessions to validate material presented and provide feedback to the presenters.
- Establish and maintain a consistent evaluation system across all franchise training programs to capture both quantitative and qualitative feedback from participants in an objective manner.
- Establish and maintain a process to aggregate training participant feedback and clearly communicate results with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders at SERVPRO Headquarters (HQ) to identify training opportunities across the system and prioritize relevant topics to incorporate into the respective training programs.
- Participate in OSIB meetings and OSIB committees to seek feedback, validate initiatives, and assist in prioritizing key program developments.
- Determine franchisees needs through listening, learning, and leveraging best practices from top operators.
- Develop talent and a cohesive team that supports the SERVPRO MVP culture. This includes recruiting and hiring, training and development, honest and direct performance feedback, and teambuilding.
- Clearly communicate objectives and accountability to monitor progress.
- Monitor divisional key performance measurements (KPMs) and team performance.
- Achieve priority improvements that support company initiatives.
- Oversee the development and promotion of the resources created by operating systems teams to the Franchisees to drive the use of the operating system.
- Develop and maintain division budget and expenses.
You have
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience supervising others in a multi-unit environment, preferably in a franchise facing role.
- Small Business Financial Analysis Experience (i.e. ability to identify profit opportunities on a Profit and Loss Statement and the business' financial strength and ability from the Balance Sheet.
- Consulting experience a plus (i.e. the ability to follow the formal steps of the consulting process from contracting, discovery, feedback, implementation through evaluation).
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of successful management.
- Prior experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office environment.
- Ability to work with executive management, direct reports, and franchisees throughout the system at every level.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, high pressure office environment.
- Standard working hours, based on a 40-hour work week.
- Additional working hours required as needed to complete assignments and projects on schedule.
- Travel as required for business needs.
