POSITION SUMMARY: Quality Assurance Nurse will:
- Collaborate with the directors and staff to identify indicators of quality, safety and performance for data collection and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement throughout the organization.
- Work with the Director to develop dashboards and scorecards to depict internal metrics and benchmark comparisons
- Identify sources of valid and reliable information and metrics to monitor performance and outcome trends.
- Partner with the Information Services staff to provide actionable and timely data that supports various projects and initiatives (i.e. electronic transfer of data to meet regulatory requirements).
- Assists in the use of database applications, presentations, creating graphs and dashboard for the department and hospital.
- Builds audit tool for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement
- Responsible for the concurrent and retrospective Clinical Core Measures process. Including abstraction and submission.
- Assists in the Organizations Continuous Survey Readiness Activities for CIHQ, TJC and CDPH Investigations.
- Develops and recommends corrective action plans to be implemented when indicator measurement is below predetermined threshold.
- Manages the All Scripts EHR system by which quality assurance data is collected, analyzed and reported.
- Develops and standardizes reports, questionnaires, and conducts comparative studies, data analysis and interpretation.
- Meet hospital continuing education requirements by enhancing professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
- Reports to the Director of Quality.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: Must have current CA RN/LVN license. Prefer, CPHQ certification.
Licensure/Certification: Must have current and valid California State RN/LVN license. CPHQ Certification preferred.
Experience: One (1) year healthcare-related quality management/performance improvement experience (i.e. chart audits, PI Team Member). OR 2 years clinical experience in an acute care setting. CPHQ certification highly desired.
PAY / BENEFITS
LVN; Estimated pay: $25.24 to $30.54 per hour based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
RN; Estimated pay: $42.00 to $58.00 per hour based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
