This position is full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at Roma Avenue NW 5th floor Albuquerque, NM 87102.
We offer 6-12 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics.
- The ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Analyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met.
- Obtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner: assigning FSC (Financial Class) entering benefits and all other related activities i.e. transfers, demographic data changes in IDX.
- Registers patients in IDX including updating patient demographics, current insurance information, current primary care provider, emergency contacts, and all relevant fields.
- Uses appropriate text templates in the electronic health record, tasks clinic teammates using the electronic health record, and ability to multitask between business office systems and the electronic health record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent working experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 1+ year of related customer service experience in the administration, medical, or scheduling field
- 1+ years of related healthcare experience to include scheduling experience and in verification of eligibility and benefits
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, and proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Reside within Albuquerque, NM
- Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Soft skill:
- Able to problem solve, excellent writing and verbal skills.
