Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for the operating, setup, startup/shut down, paperwork, SCOUT transactions and the daily running of 12K blender in the formulation department.
Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:
Process product using tools and equipment provided
Follows all work safety policies and guidelines
Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns
Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines
Maintains a clean and organized area
Performs other duties as assigned
Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours
Maintain acceptable times for changeovers on lines
Maintain that team members are rotating positions as required for Ergonomic reasons
Set up machines and trouble shoot issues
Set up and maintain correct code dates
Responsible for correct bags for specific UPC
Maintain minimal downtime
Maintain accurate and legible paperwork
Complete daily line paperwork
Responsible for batching meat correctly and putting into OTIS
Responsible for labeling totes correctly and accurately
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to troubleshoot issues that occur on the machine
Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions
Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
Must pass a background check, drug screen
Must be able to read and write
Need to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP’S SSOP’S and USDA
Computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Product knowledge and process knowledge
Ability to trouble shoot minor issues of product or machine
Need to LOTO trained to lock equipment out as needed
Be familiar with UPC, bags, products and boxes
Be walkie certified
Physical Requirements:
Constant standing and walking (8 hours or more per day)
Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)
Reaching overhead
Reaching below knees
Ability to multitask
Completing required paperwork in timely manner
Using material handling equipment as needed
Pushing meat through injector
Breakdown combos for recycle
Working Conditions/Department Description:
Work in damp and cold environment as needed
Work with loud and noisy machinery as needed
Work in dusty environment when using spice as needed
Work in congested areas as needed
