Pay rate: $24.48/hour -$28.94/hour
Shift Differential: Base rate + $1.50/hour
Job Description
The Quarry CDL Production Operator position is an opportunity for a motivated individual to be focused and self-motivated within a fast-paced mining environment. Operator will be responsible for safely transporting crushed rock from the quarry loadout building to the plant unload building with a supplied semi-truck and belly dump trailer. The operator is also expected to operator heavy mining mobile equipment when the rock haulage is not operational. The round-trip distance from the quarry to the plant is approximately 4 miles.

Basic Accountabilities:
A good work ethic, acceptable job performance, and predictable attendance.
Practice dignity and respect towards co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
Willing and able to learn equipment operation and follow all plant, department, and job safety rules.
Safely and efficiently operate an over the road truck with a belly dump trailer.
Must maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Minimal work with computers and other control screens.
Evaluate mechanical problems and communicate the information effectively to a maintenance crew and provide routine operating adjustments to equipment with maintenance crew direction.
Complete all required MSHA and OSHA training and follow all regulations.
Understand the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL.
Must meet essential physical requirements related to:
o Regularly sitting, talking, listening, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
o Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Predictable attendance.
o Report to job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
Ability to perform all essential and support functions of the job.
Wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.
Ability to read, write and possess basic math skills to complete daily reports.
Working nights and weekends.
Being available for overtime and call-ins as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess a CDL Tanker Endorsement.
Completed MSHA Part 48 Training.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
